A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has gone beyond over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources news eu law designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
